Links to some old and new Friends
Voyage of the Bahati By happenstance we ended up one slip over from Nat and Betsy Warren-White in Noumea, New Caledonia. Nat and Betsy, CCA members from South Freeport, Maine, left a year ahead of us and have often sailed in company with Seth and Ellen aboard s/v Heretic (see below). We look forward to crossing paths with them frequently over the next year as we both work our way back home. They are delightful and the fact that they have made it onto the cover of Ocean Navigator (and we have not) doesn’t bother us a bit….not one DAMNED bit!
Sail Zora The Collins Family Website. Neil worked on Alpheratz for 10 months, Stacey handled our graphics and website design and Olivia’s saga with raising chickens in South Portland kept us entertained for months.
Marine Computer Systems Noah and Dan have been sorting out our computer issues since 2004. Noah is the new owner of the company but Dan and I have a 40 year contract for computer services. When you find a guy like this, who can answer all your computer questions….it is best to sign him up for life.
Voyage of the Sea Muffin Tony Elmquist and family baking their way around the globe. Tony also was responsible for many of the new toys on this website.
Heretic Sailing Our friend and neighbor Seth Leonard’s voyage around the globe. We are a year behind him and gaining much from his experience.
J. Maloney Rigging J. has been rigging boats for Brian and myself since Rumery’s. In the last two years he and his associate Mike Sussman have rigged two masts for me. They are most accommodating and their work is great. When the wind blows, it is a secure feeling to know that Maloney’s work is holding up the mast.
Maine Yacht Center Brian and his team made it all happen…….. on time and within budget. Need I say more?
UUPlus Jeremy Bonnett and his partners have been providing us with email (and you with the ship’s log) since 2004. They are a great outfit to do business with. Check out their website to see their humanitarian work.
Dive St. Kitts . Jonathan and I took our advanced Scuba course here. Mike, Kent and Rick were very helpful, got us the dives we wanted– including a night dive. St Kitts is a fun place to dive; Good wrecks, reefs, and wild life.
Here is a U-Tube link to a very funny film made by my nephew Sam Carroll .
Bequia Dive Adventures is a great scuba outfit. Laury, Ron, Renaldo, and Dave organized great dives and took excellent care of all 5 of us.
Seth Salzmann from Brooklin Maine. A schooner Cap’t.
